Renaissance Canada is a national creative outreach movement that exists to reach artists and restore culture. We walk alongside artists as they encounter Jesus, offering care, community and spiritual formation in the very places they create.

We believe art is more than expression: it’s mission. Through discipleship, artistic support and restorative work through the arts, we equip artists not only to flourish, but to become restorers of culture themselves.

Our mission is twofold. The heart of Renaissance is missional: to reach artists with spiritual care, community and discipleship, especially those shaping culture through their creativity.

We’re just as passionate about restoring culture: helping artists and churches work together to bring renewal to our world through beauty, truth and goodness.

Renaissance isn’t just another artist collective. It’s a movement of builders. We’re not only creating community; we’re creating infrastructure. We resource artists, coach churches, develop creative tools and launch national projects that bring artistry, theology and mission together.

We’re calling artists not just to belong, but to build.

• Artists and creatives who want to bring their faith and their practice together
• Pastors and ministry leaders who want to empower the creatives in their church
• Donors and supporters who believe the arts are vital to the gospel’s witness in culture
• Anyone who longs to see faith, artistry and creativity united once again

Right now, Renaissance is a ministry led by a Mission Canada worker (me, Jessica) with the PAOC. Every Renaissance initiative, from Studio to regional gatherings to national projects, is an expression of my missionary work and vision.

Renaissance isn’t a standalone organization yet, but we’re laying the foundation for it to become its own nonprofit. For now, think of it as a growing ministry movement with its structure still being built.

Because we believe beauty is prophetic. When artists flourish, the Church awakens. When art is redeemed, culture is restored. We’re here to see a move of God in the arts, in Canada and beyond.

We build pathways for outreach, care, formation and collaboration with artists across Canada. Right now that looks like:

• Studio: our artist cohort for discipleship and spiritual formation
• Creative Drop-In: a mobile creative studio that meets people where they are, with restorative, art-based programming
• The Well: gatherings where artists are refreshed in community
• Project Heritage: restoring a 1955 tugboat in Hay River, NWT, into an artist hub for the North
• Theology & education: the Renaissance Creative Leadership Podcast, workshops and courses

Churches can partner with Renaissance by:

• Hosting creative gatherings, workshops, exhibitions or a Creative Drop-In
• Sponsoring local artists and creative leaders
• Receiving coaching on building a thriving creative culture in their ministry
• Supporting national Renaissance initiatives financially or in prayer

Renaissance is funded through my work as a Mission Canada missionary with the PAOC. The movement operates under my missionary appointment while we build the foundation for the future, so everything you see under “Renaissance” is an expression of that missionary work, even though Renaissance isn’t yet a registered nonprofit.

We’re laying the groundwork to establish Renaissance as its own nonprofit, which will let us expand our impact, grow our team and develop sustainable funding for artists and churches across Canada. Until then, your prayers, partnership and financial support directly fuel the work.
